Product
Update (For Version 1.0 ONLY!!!):
Users of BoardMaster
Storyboard and Timing Software have great ideas
for improvement of this product and we listen!
We have and will continue to make small improvements
to our product based on your suggestions and
make them available for download to our users.
We will also consider more demanding requests
for version two. The update includes usability
enhancements as well as some minor bug fixes.
For a detailed list of these changes see the
pages below. To install this update, locate
the file BoardMaster.exe
on your system. Rename this file to BoardMaster.old.
Download the new BoardMaster.exe
and place it in the same directory where the
old file was located. This update will not function
without a fully registered version of the product
installed.
Enhancements:
Timing Summary - The timing summary has been
enhanced to display and print a running total
of the time allocated for each panel, and a
running total of the film footage.
Context Menu - The context menu has been modified
to include "Copy Image As Bitmap"
when right clicking on a panel.
Freezing the Animatic - Clicking the right mouse
button while running the animatic will "freeze"
the panel. To resume the animatic, click with
the left mouse button. The animatic will continue
on the next panel.
Changing the Default Time for new Panels - An
addition has been made to the project settings
where the user can now change the default time
applied to new panels added to the project.
Support for 25FPS PAL format - The timing summary
and timing displayed on the storyboard page
now supports 25fps as well as the original 24
and 30fps.
Bug
Fixes:
Animatic Setup - If you are using large fonts
on your system you may experience some problems
in the Animatic Setup Dialog where some items
on the dialog are placed incorrectly. This has
been fixed and is included in the update above.
Known Issues:
Canon Canoscan FB620P - If you are using this
scanner, use the software supplied with the
scanner to scan your images. Add your images
from file to create your board. This scanner
may cause an exception in our product.
Starting a project by clicking the .bdm file
from explorer - If you double click on a .bdm
file from explorer the application will start
properly and load your project. You may however
get an annoying dialog that says "a component
cannot be found". To get rid of this dialog
go to <View><Options> in Windows
Explorer, select the File Types Tab. Locate
and select the .bdm listing. Select <Edit>
and <Edit> again on the File Type Dialog.
Uncheck the check box that says "Use DDE".
Note:
Ensure that the new functionality provided in
the update works correctly before relying on
it for production. The update has not been tested
as fully as the installed product version.
