Creating Your Own Sprites
and Props for Use in BoardMaster. Here's a sample
of sprites in action...
Characters
and Props
- Characters and props must be a Windows BMP.
The files may be any dimension but the size
of an image should not exceed 1MEG.
- Characters and props can be created from
scanned photos or digital cameras by "painting"
out the background using your favorite image
editor. They can also be scanned hand drawn
or digitally painted original artwork.
- The background color of the image will be
treated as transparent in the BoardMaster
editor. As such the color used for the background
should not be used in the character or prop.
Any background color can be used but black
and white is not recommended. Note that the
background must consist of one solid color.
- Once approved the artist submits the artwork
to BoardMaster on a Windows compatible CD,
or on floppy disk.
- BoardMaster will then sell the artwork on
the artists behalf and compensate the artist
monthly for each sale of the artwork at an
agreed upon price.
- Artists will be required to sign a document
giving sole rights to the artwork they are
submitting for sale.
Backgrounds
- Backgrounds are usually a JPG file due to
high resolution and small file size. The width
to height ratio of the image must match the
width to height of the aspect ratio you are
targeting in BoardMaster. For academy (standard)
aspect ratio, this would be 1.33:1
General

of their artwork have rights to use the artwork

agreement.
