BoardMaster
Help
Getting
Around In the Project
In addition to menus and icons, BoardMaster
has a number of shortcuts than can be accessed
using the right mouse button. For common menu
selections that are associated with a panel,
select the panel with the left mouse button
and then click the right mouse button. Selecting
an area of the storyboard that is not a panel,
and then clicking the right mouse button will
provide a different menu with choices related
to the entire project.
Navigate
Toolbar
To navigate around your BoardMaster
project select "Move" from the main
menu. Moving by Panel will navigate one panel
at a time. Moving by Page will jump one page.
You can jump to the start or end of the project
by selecting "First Page" or "Last
Page" . The Navigate toolbar also provides
these same capabilities. Move the mouse over
one of the buttons to have a "tool tip"
display what the button does.
To make your working environment more comfortable,
you can move both the Navigate toolbar and Project
toolbar to any location you wish. Simply grab
a portion of the toolbar that is not an icon
with the left mouse button and drag it to a
new location. Also, you can select "View"
from the main menu to hide the status bar at
the bottom of the screen, the navigate toolbar,
or the project toolbar at the top of the screen.
Slider
Control
The slider control is used for navigating the
project as well. It becomes more useful as your
project grows in size, allowing you to get to
a particular section of your project fast. By
clicking on the slider control, you can jump
to a different part of your project, and then
use the "Next Panel" icons to narrow
in on the panel you are looking for.
Cut,
Copy and Paste for Text and Panels
The Edit menu offers the following commands
"Cut", "Copy" and "Paste".
The icons shown above may also be used.
The commands can be used in edit boxes on the
story board page and can also be used for panels.
To cut, copy or paste a panel, select the panel
with the left mouse button. A green square will
appear around the panel when it is selected.
Select cut or copy. Move to where you want the
panel inserted then click on a second panel
and choose paste to insert the panel. The panel
will be inserted before the selected panel.
Panels cut or copied to the clipboard are only
meaningful to BoardMaster.
To copy a Panel image to the clipboard as a
bitmap image for use in other applications use
the "Copy Image as Bitmap" selection
from the edit menu or icon above. Text can be
cut or copied to the clipboard from BoardMaster
and pasted into other applications or copied
to the clipboard from other applications and
pasted into edit boxes in BoardMaster
.
Swapping
Panels
You can swap an image quickly with a neighboring
image using the "Swap Left" and "Swap
Right" icons.
