The Frame Window is where you compose each shot with built-in pre-drawn elements.*

The frame's size is determined by the aspect ratio you choose for your project
[use Frames menu: Aspect Ratio].

Each object you place into the frame (import, draw or choose from StoryBoard Quick's built-in libraries) can be resized, repositioned, cropped and layered.

The layering architecture is easy to use and makes composing shots quick an easy since eeach element is on its own layer.

*Also import digital pictures or your own artwork. StoryBoard Quick's built-in artwork is vector art which scales (and prints) without dithering.

Character Front

The pre-drawn characters are in different actions (standing, sitting, running, jumping, prone) and various rotations making them ready for immediate use. Once you've decided on the character's action and rotation, click on the image in the grid and the image you chose will appear in the frame.

Library Palette

Vertically: a character is available in five pre-drawn actions.

• Walking
• Sitting
• Running
• Jumping
• Prone

Horizontally: each action is in the following rotations:

• face front
• quarter right
• profile right
• back
• profile left
• quarter left

Zoom Character

The selected character zooms closer or pushes farther back when clicking the plus or minus in the toolbar. [Select the character in the frame, and click on "+" or "-" icon.]
Unused portions of the image are masked behind frame's edge (see above) which simulates a camera viewfinder.
No need to crop or erase parts of images to fit into frame's aspect size. If you change the aspect ratio of the entire project, the entire elements is ready to be seen in the new ratio setting.
Duplicate frame frunction copies all elements into a new frame window and since you didn't have to erase parts of images to conform to frame window, the image is still whole and ready to be resized for the next set up

Rotation Tools Rotate a Character using one of the Rotation Arrows.

Rotating Character

Notice that the selected character will change direction with each click of the rotate right or rotate left icon. [Click on the character to select it and then click on a rotation arrow.]
