Notes for Mac Users: How to use BinHex (.hqx)
files on your Macintosh.
In order to decode a BinHex file on your
Mac, you'll need to use one of these freely
distributable utilities. You probably already
have one of them. Note: if you're using
the latest (3.0.x) version of Netscape Navigator,
Stuffit Expander is probably already installed.
|
If you have a recent CD-ROM of shareware and
freeware, such as those distributed by Macintosh
magazines, look there for Aladdin installers.
This is much preferable to downloading the files
from the Internet. If not, try below:
Stuffit Expander
(download it here)
The America Online software for Macintosh also
includes a built-in version of Stuffit Expander.
If you're downloading from America Online, you
should be able to open this file directly.
If you experience trouble getting any of these
files to open properly, visit Aladdin
Systems' website to find out more about
configuring Stuffit Expander and their other
excellent compression products.
