2.0 is here! We’d like to take just
a moment of your time to tell you about all
the new and exciting features, all of which
are sure to help you get the most out of your
writing.
We didn’t just improve on the existing
features. We listened to our valued customers
and engineered an even more powerful and dynamic
way to see your stories. Most features that
we added in StoryView
2.0 came to us as a suggestion from one
or more of our clients. Every feature was tested
by clients to make sure they were exactly the
way writers need them.
Take a look at just some of the ADDITIONAL
FEATURES of the new 2.0
StoryView:
- NEW
OUTLINE WINDOW —
Allows you to create event and write in a
familiar easy to use Word Processing/Outliner
interface.
- IMPORT MOVIE MAGIC
SCREENWRITER AND MICROSOFT WORD RTF DOCUMENTS
— Import existing MS Word or Screenwriter
files (and Final Draft files saved in RTF
format) into StoryView.
- ESTIMATION DURATION
— Sets the duration of events
based on length of your text. This cool feature
lets StoryView
automatically determine how long your scenes
are if they are written in format, including
screenplays, stage plays, and novels imported
from Movie Magic Screenwriter. You can then
SEE their relative sizes in the Timeline View.
- NEW TUTORIALS, TEMPLATES,
AND EXAMPLE FILES — StoryView
2.0 includes new Outlining and Screenwriting
tutorials, templates for Outlining and Brainstorming,
a complete Lord of the Rings trilogy example
file (available free for download), and more.
- HIDE/SHOW ANY EVENT
TYPE, LEVEL, OR HIERARCHY — Allows
you to view only the event types you wish
to work with.
- CREATE MULTIPLE OUTLINES
WITHIN A SINGLE DOCUMENT — Great
for brainstorming and creating different scenarios.
- APPLYING FONTS, STYLES
& ATTRIBUTES TO MULTIPLE FONTS —
You can select multiple events and
set their font or style.
- TIME CONSTRAINTS —
Helps to keep events where you place them.
Prevents unwanted gaps from occurring in the
timeline.
- IMPROVED OUTLINE REPORTS
— Outline reports now match the
capabilities of the new outline window.
- PRINT EVENTS AS SEEN
IN THE OUTLINE WINDOW — Print
reports that match your onscreen combinations
of the various outline features.
